My Mom visited me before Christmas and I had asked her to share some thoughts in remembrance for Jimmy's Tribute She had her written notes on hand and I was completely caught off guard with her comment. She translated to me;
"When I think of Jimmy I have to say the thought of Paying It Forward comes to mind. I remember the first time I met him he gave me this most wonderful massage. You had been rubbing him down after a ride and he made no fuss about Paying It Back Forward to me from the wonderful massage you had given to him. He always looked after you and it was obvious that he didn’t stop there!!
These acts of kindness (be it from a horse on occasion!!) seem more and more rare these days and although it doesn’t have to be a big thing, no more than being mindful and kind to the next person often times. It is this act of kindness that can really help someone out in their day. It can be the smallest thing that you Pay Forward but it may be received with 10 fold the gratitude. It is in moments like being with Jimmy when he was Paying It Forward to me by massaging my sore neck (and back, slobbery kisses and all shared alike!) that I am reminded how we ought to all remember this simple concept. Just makes the day so much better"!
Note: My Mom had no idea about the development of the Pay It Forward Fundraiser For Horse’s that I had put into place, it just came to her. How remarkable that she could share with me in this way, in fact I picked up right away that my Mom, like myself has always enjoyed to give and to help other people, as did her Mother.
