If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. All things are connected.

After contemplating phasing herself out of the horse industry in as far as horse ownership and the responsibilities that go alongside owning a horse, Yvonne Allen, writer of the Voice for The Horse web site made a quick and fast decision to stay involved on a level where she spent many years of research and study thereafter, on ways to alleviate the hardships that horses experience when they become neglected, abused or otherwise unwanted. What was witnessed in the following years to come was completely heart wrenching and although not easy, she continued to pursue the path of finding ways to make a difference for horses, not only in her back yard but across Canada and throughout the USA. The challenges are many for this part of the equestrian industry today and more and more people are talking about it with organizations growing acoss North America that are "speaking up for the horses". Through personal experience working VFTH, we found that people both in and outside of the horse industry, are tired of hearing the bad news that comes up for horses at risk every year, especially during the cold winter months. With the costs of caring for horses that suffer neglect escalating today, the funds can be difficult to come by understandly. To help horses on the level that Voice For The Horse was seeking, we developed two special programs to both promote the horse and for those that go in for care; the VFTH Equine Practitioner and Trainers Challenge and VFTH Kid's Corner We also creatively came up with a solution to help individuals that have wanted to make a postitive difference in the lives of horses at risk, by offering them the opportunity to support Voice For The Horse and advertise their business on our web site where the advertising dollars coming in help us in further promoting our Mission Vision Mandate. At Voice For The Horse we have always believed in giving back, in particular for horses and feels that through these three programs, the awareness and education needed out there will not only help our horses of today but also those of tomorrow. Yvonne's personal mission with Voice For The Horse is to bring joy and good news into people's lives through the way of the horse!
