Each of us has an innate ability to heal ourselves or to help facilitate this for another; whether it be another person or animal, the gift that is given back to us in many cases is ten fold for what we put out. Working with individuals that assist in the care of the injured, traumatized or unwanted horse through our newly developed program from Voice For The Horse, enables the opportunity for many caretakers whose lives these animals are entrusted to, to share in the healing of these animals, which can be beyond words to describe. It is empowering for the newly taught student to learn that they have this ability to make a positive difference in the life of a horse.
From the trained professional to those that wish only to learn some basics, massage is a healing art that can be utilized by many. It is on this level that our Equine Shiatsu Massage Short Course addresses. If we go back in history, massage was noted as an intimate act shared and given by one to help another heal. Most certainly today we use this as a very important service for ourselves whether we are athletes or are simply dealing with everyday work stresses in our lives. Be it an emotional or physical problem, massage done with the intent to help another can only be of benefit. It is here that we practice the art of giving and also the art or recieving. The special gift that is given back to us when we help a horse through massage reflects back to us this very famous saying:
"The outside of a horse is good for the insides or a person" .
I have noted over the course of the last 10 years that many individuals are now regularily using massage to help maintain not only themselves, but that of horse owners who still provide these same benefits for their equine companions and athletes, even through these tough economic times. At Voice For The Horse we believe that all domesticated horses deserve of this benefit, especially if they have had physical and or emotional issues they have had to deal with. We are pleased to present our Equine Shiatsu Massage Short Course to horse owners who are wanting to learn skills such as equine massage to better help, support and bond with their horse which at times, has proven to be a life changing experience for many. If you are interested in participating in a workshop and or belong to an equine related association and would be interested in booking a workshop contact us for more details.
