Our letter to you sharing Our Future With Voice For The Horse

| Yvonne and VFTH Mascot Mischief ~ Summer 2010 |
After contemplating to phase herself out of the horse industry in 2007 as far as horse ownership and the responsibilities that go alongside owning a horse, Yvonne Allen, writer of the Voice for The Horse web site made a quick and fast decision to stay involved after learning about “the hard side” that horses were experiencing in this industry. To follow she spent many years of research and study thereafter on ways to alleviate the hardships that horses experience when they become neglected, abused or otherwise unwanted. What she witnessed during this time was completely heart wrenching and although not easy, she continued to pursue the path of finding ways to make a difference for horses, not only in her own back yard but across Canada and that of the United States of America. It was not only this 'hard side' for horses that inspired Yvonne's but also her realization that if she herself did not take the next step to fulfill her lifetime dream, that she could not fully bring to the world Voice For The Horse as it was meant to be. Thus, in the summer of 2010 Yvonne moved to the country where she resides with the two VFTH Mascots Angel and Mischief to further continue to write the script where she could fully focus on the completion of Voice For The Horse.

| Voice For The Horse ~ Pay It Forward For Our Horses Of Tomorrow Fundraising |
Through personal experience working VFTH, Yvonne found that people both in and outside of the horse industry, were tired of hearing the same bad news that comes up for horses at risk every year, especially during the cold winter months. With the costs of caring for horses that suffer neglect escalating today, funds can be difficult to come by hence much effort was put forth by VFTH to help alleviate this by hosting many fundraising events for those that needed assistance, thus the Pay It Forward For Horses Fundraisers came about. To help horses on the level that Voice For The Horse was seeking, three special programs were also developed to both promote the horse and for those that go in for care to rescue and rehabilitation center; the VFTH Equine Practitioner and Trainers Challenge VFTH Kid's Corner and also the newly launched VFTH Academy At Voice For The Horse we have always believed in giving back for our horses and feel that through these three programs, the awareness and education needed out there will not only help our horses of today but also those of tomorrow too.
Every story and every dream has a beginning. If it were not for this most beautiful rescued thoroughbred race horse, Voice For The Horse would have never come about. Without this amazing horse being presented to Yvonne back in 1991, Voice For The Horse would not exist as it does today. We invite you to meet Five Sails whom truly showed up as a teacher. With very little experience in the world of horses, the horse you are about to meet most certainly showed up, especially for Yvonne. We most cordially invite you to meet 'Five Sails'.
