Voice For The Horse ~ Bridging The Gap Between Horse And Human In Our Modern Day World

Voice For The Horse ~ Since 2007, thousands of volunteer hours have been put forth into the development of this project to bring VFTH to where it is today. VFTH is a grassroots effort where we seek pro-active solutions to create a positive exposure for the horses in our lives through online social media activities and events. We promote the horse through the means of education of the equestrian industry as a whole to horse lovers of the world regardless of whether they are involved or not, in a specific discipline or even horse ownership. We believe that horses are for ALL to enjoy, love and experience and it is our goal to continue to promote VFTH as such. It is in the strength of our vision that drives us forward.
Voice For The Horse Inaugural Meeting ~ Sept. 14th, 2011
 |
| Voice For The Horse Inaugural Meeting Hosted by the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel ~ Sept 14, 2011 |
We sat before a group of business consultants we had never met before and at the end of this meeting I must share with you ALL, that I felt like I was on the stage of America's Got Talent with Simon on the Panel of Judge's ~ seriously!! The closing remarks I will never forget, and I was ready for it. It was shared with Voice For The Horse that three things were picked up in our presentation to our lineup of business/foundation experts and they were this: "we see the children involved in this project, we see a future with them participating for many years to come and into their adulthood, and we see a solution". This was ALL we needed to go on from here on out. We adjourned the meeting feeling empowered with the possibilities ... of making a big difference in the lives of both horse and human around the world.
Yvonne ~ Director of Voice For The Horse
Voice For The Horse was initially a single web page that Yvonne Allen had on her equine therapeutic web site At Ease Horse Care back in 2007 ~ it was called A Voice For The Horse As fate would have it back in the early spring of 2008, a young pmu filly had been noted by Yvonne. Knowing someone in her life at the time that was looking for this exact type of horse, she purchased this little one who became known as Angel as a gift who also carried the title as the first VFTH Mascot. A surprise she was most certainly but none the less she was welcomed and yes, it was a life altering experience for the new caretaker!
I welcome and invite you to share in the opportunities we bring forth, to help make a difference for not only our horses of today and tomorrow but also for those whose lives are benefited whether it be in equine sports, pleasure or facilitated therapies. Voice For The Horse believes in our heritage, our horses and also we strongly believe in our tomorrow, living a life in balance with all equines.
We would love to hear from you and invite you to email us with any questions, comments or suggestions you may have!
Sincerely,
Yvonne Allen ~ Writer and Director of the Voice For The Horse Foundation

Fundraising Efforts that have been done on behalf of Voice For the Horse hold a very special place in our hearts. It is our goal to encourage people to take care of their own back yards in respect to the needs they may find for horses at rescue centers that have brought in for care. Such is the example we have set here in one of our first published articles which articulates the intent of doing this very thing Our Horses and the Touch Economic Times published in Saddle Up Magazine February 2009.
