Stay Connected  ~  Love a Horse!!

Dec 4, 2009 ~ Click here for update on the Renshaw Horse Rescue Case

The inspiration for this page came about when the story of the two horses up in McBride area of B.C. were rescued by a human digging chain. These trapped horses had been abandoned in an area where there was no way out for them, the snow being too deep. The compassion from not only these people but the whole town that came out and supported and donated feed and blankets etc. for these horses is beyond words. It is so heartwarming to know that the average person, whether they are horse people or not will step out to save a near to death horse. We are seeing this more and more often these days it seems. Rescue News Update: spoke with Debbie Traquair, owner of Spindrift Power Sports and she informed me that at approximetly 10 pm, Dec 23, 2008 the horses were walked out safely and loaded onto trailers and taken to a warm barn at an undisclosed facility. Congratulations to all of you for this great work, well done!!

Jan 24, 2009 we were contacted by Birgit Stutz from Falling Star Ranch (be sure to scroll to top of previous linked page for current updates!) in Dunster, B.C. Birgit  has kept an up to date log of the events for  the McBride Horse Rescue and we are glad to be able to link her up to this page so as not to forget this amazing story of rescue, that otherwise may not be so well remembered. Birgit and her husband Marc own and operate Falling Star Ranch and specialize in horse training and sales, workshops, demonstrations and promote Arabians, Quarter Horses and Paints. Thanks to Birgit for creating this informative rescue page where we can find all the updates and proceeding for both Sundance and Belle
