| Meet Voice For The Horse On Stable Scoop Radio ~ Aired Nov. 11, 2011 |
This has been a five year journey getting to where we are today at Voice For The Horse and ALL I can say at this point in time is “who would have thought we would come this far!!” I am absolutely thrilled as this project captivated me from the day I started to write, not knowing where it was going to go. In the beginning of 2011 I knew I had to do something with Voice For The Horse that would both enable me to carry on sustaining my research and studies but more importantly, capture the attention that it so much deserves with our intent to shed a beautiful light on horses that need it more than ever today. Be it the wild horses, mustangs, burros or out domesticated equines, we feel at Voice For The Horse it is time to show utmost respect for ALL of these most noble animals that has forever served mankind.
When I initiated the current project, the Wild Horse Children's Writing Competition I realized that I would need to gather many resources to put out the best work I could on wild horses. With this I journeyed across North America, networking where I could to get credible resources for the project. There are a few individuals I would like to thank; firstly Madeleine Pickens for it was she that I had initial contact with and when she learned of my idea for the project, her enthusiasm inspired me to take it from there.
There are many more to thank for sure; my dear friend Margrit Coates from England who tutored me endlessly over lengthy emails and FaceBook conversations where we in fact met late last year. Other members of our British Team to include Julie Lines and Heather Moffet as well. My new American friends and Advisory Board Members Mary Ann Simonds, Mara Legrand, Barbara Wheeler were amazing and dedicated to the efforts of Voice For The Horse when they learned of the project. So glad you were there to back me up and help me figure out some of the more challenging issues that came up. And of course Templeton Thompson for her amazing inspiration and genuine love for the horse and sharing of the Voice For The Project. Karen Sussman whom I look forward to getting to know better, thank you for the sponsorship of the writing competition and the grand prize, I wish I was kid again, I would enter my own contest!
Up here in Canada of course there are many that I have much gratitude for as well. Vernon Groetchen for his unending support of the horses and the Voice For The Horse project; who ever thought you would have a Percheron mare in your life!! Tiffany Desrosiers, Courtnee Anderson, Jim Greendyk, Reg Rocha, Richard Waugh, Barbara Edmondson and her daughter Ariel, my friends at the Sheraton most certainly (no matter how many stories I had to share about horses, you never stopped listening LOL … thanks for making my day !!). And of course I could not miss to mention my dear friend Voice For The Horse Ambassador Joy Richardson, whom I spent many an hour in discussion with of our passion for horses and how best we may ensure a great future for ALL equines! A Big Thank You of course to the Voice For The Horse Mascots ~ Brother/Sister Team Angel and Mischief; it has been great to have the opportunity to live with you both on this lovely 25 acre farm we are renting for the time being. I am so glad that I have had this opportunity to allow the two of you both to grow up with big pastures and forests to roam, you are two of the happiest horses I have ever met!
Heres To A Million Smiling Happy Mustangs To You ALL!!
Happy Trails,
Yvonne

Meet Oriana ~ If you tuned into Stable Scoop (Radio Horse Network) linked above you have already met Oriana ~ an apparently gifted seven year old girl that met Voice For The Horse Mascot's Angel and Mischief and as we discovered ranked high up in their herd order as Lead Mare !! Go figure how this may have happened given this little girl is not "quote unquote" a "horse girl"!!

Voice For The Horse Inaugural Meeting ~ Sept. 14th, 2011
 |
| Voice For The Horse Inaugural Meeting Hosted by the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel ~ Sept 14, 2011 |
We sat before a group of business consultants we had never met before and at the end of this meeting I must share with you ALL, that I felt like I was on the stage of America's Got Talent with Simon on the Panel of Judge's ~ seriously!! The closing remarks I will never forget, and I was ready for it. It was shared with Voice For The Horse that three things were picked up in our presentation to our lineup of business/foundation experts and they were this: "we see the children involved in this project, we see a future with them participating for many years to come and into their adulthood, and we see a solution". This was ALL we needed to go on from here on out. We adjourned the meeting feeling empowered with the possibilities ... of making a big difference in the lives of both horse and human around the world.
