For many of you that have now seen the film War Horse directed by Steven Spielberg you may now better understand part of the vision we recognized years ago.
Mr. Spielberg quotes:
“In this day, people don't have exposure, they don't have interaction with horses,” he said. “I hope this movie makes people appreciate the innate and natural intelligence of horses. And I also hope this movie brings an awareness to the plight of horses both after World War I and the plight today in a very sad turn of events in which the slaughtering of horses is being permitted for food as a renewed export industry, which makes us all very sad.”
As for “War Horse,” Spielberg said he hopes the movie raises people's awareness and encourages them to be kinder to animals.
For those of you that know us already, you will recognize that we carry and send out the same message at Voice For The Horse. The most beautiful part of this “knowing” is that Voice For The Horse has put in place already, programs for equine learning for people from ALL walks of life that include children, families and horse lovers across America and beyond!
A quote that was written in the summer of 2011 reflects very much our vision and it is this:
Voice For The Horse ~ “Bridging The Gap Between Horse and Human in our Modern Day World".
We have come far and learned so much over these many years of effort, time and energy and recognize today how this project we call Voice For The Horse could make a difference in the lives of many(if the future could only tell). It is our hope that through the Voice Of The Horses that this may manifest.
"Mr. Spielberg: your commitment has been very timely for the efforts that have been put forth on your part to bring this feature film to fruition. Voice For The Horse and the syncrynistic timing we have chosen to launch as a non-profit organization I do not believe, was by accident. With the strong foundation we are diligently working on and putting into place, it is our hope the legacy we leave behind is that horse lovers of the world will continue to remember and celebrate this very special passion for our most noble equines for many years to come".
