This is when Angel appeared in my life; she was scruffy, half wild with a few health concerns to be taken care of but the moment I saw her I must have fell under some kind of spell! She needed a home and I remember having alot of cash in my wallet which I happily gave away so I could have this foal. I was dillusional at the time I am sure but Vernon had mentioned to me that he would be interested in adopting a rescue horse (his first!). So, with Margaret's insight into this horse, we both decided that she would be the perfect one for Vernon; a horse that when she finally grew up would be the perfect match for him to navigate the new property we had purchased up in Pritchard, B.C. Well, bringing Angel into our lives has given both Vernon and Jimmy very important  roles to play. Jimmy has had to become teacher for her which he loves and Vernon has had to restructure his life to allow the changes that would need to happen in order for this to come to fruition. The change in our lives collectively has been astounding ever since; having found absolute peace when we are with our horses erases all the city woes we experience on a daily basis as we are still committed to work in the city and navigate it daily. Our life desires are now at the forefront on how we are choosing to live the rest of our days away and it won’t be without the horses. They ground us and give us so much joy, a joy that resonates daily in our hearts even when we are not able to be with them; they have got each other and we know know they are fine.
