Women Horse Owners on a Healing Path
”Give a woman a challenge;
she will create a brilliant solution…no matter how long it takes.”
To say that a woman places boundaries on the timing of this rehabilitation would be incorrect, rather she places boundaries around anything else that would interfere with her continued forward motion toward recovery of the horse.
Single minded? Driven? Dedicated and determined – what do you think? It is an amazing journey she is on and the only destination is cure. Now there are varying degrees of cure, to be sure, and she will select that which fits the need for the horse at the time, and don’t even think of pointing out that it may not be ‘complete’ or ‘traditional” in nature. It is what it is.
Given the strength, purpose and possible volatility of the woman horse-owner who sets out, with her horse, on a journey to wellness independent of traditional western medicine, you would be wise to simply compliment her on accomplishments and note the significant difference in the horse, and leave it at that. Odds are you will see both.
I am awed by the tenacity of the women I meet in my work as a horse communicator; women open to investigate and include traditional and alternative healing modalities in their ‘path to wellness’ for the horse, and remain true to the cause.
